BOP Rated Capacity Report, December 6, 2004 (by Response dated January 6, 2005)
In response to another FOIA request, the BOP provided this report of institutional rated capacities. Such capacities (one of three "capacity" measures the BOP uses) had not been published since State of the Bureau 1999, the last State of the Bureau published under the Clinton/Reno Administration. One can compare these capacity numbers with the BOP's Weekly Population Report at http://www.bop.gov/news/weekly_report.jsp, but beware -- some of these capacity numbers add space from central prison and satellite prison camp, while the Weekly Population Report splits the two.
